Puerto Bahía Foundation was created in 2008 as a branch of social responsibility of Sociedad portuaria Puerto Bahia in order to serve the communities of the area withdirect influence to the project. The essential purpose of the Foundation has been to contribute to the generation of programs and projects that allow the development of local communities, such as Pasacaballos, Ararca, Santa Ana, Barú, Bocachica and Caño del Oro.
Today, nearly 1,500 families of these zones have been benefited from the various programs and projects that the Foundation has been developing, and which has made a social investment of over $ 9,000 million.
